Review Courses for the PE Exam – Are they Worth It?
If you are taking an upcoming PE Exam (or FE Exam or SE Exam for that matter) you are probably wondering:
Are Review Courses for the PE Exam Really Worth it?
I realize they can have a bit of a price tag, so it is not necessarily an easy decision. Of course, if you can get your employer to pay for some of the costs of the review course, that takes the burden off of you. For those that do not have that luxury, take a look at the video below where I explore the question of whether review courses are worth it or not.
In this video, I give benefits of taking a PE Exam review course. I also share some evidence that taking a course may help you pass the PE Exam…
Note, I wanted to say thanks to MSPE.org for use of information from their site in the video.

What do You Think
Do you think PE Exam Review Courses Are Worth It?
Hi Andy,
I want to take the Petroleum PE exam. It appears that there are two certification program, one is the PE exam from NCEES, this is the one that I supposed to take. However, when I visit SPE website, SPE mentioned SPE Certification exam. Are these two the same? I guess so, but just not quite sure.
Thanks,
Paul
Hi Paul, I saw that as well, and believe it is an industry certification, but not the same as the NCEES PE. HTH, Andy
